NEW YORK  , March 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- AIFIAN has released its 2024 Asia-Pacific investment report, highlighting key trends in liquor investment across the region. The findings reveal that Baijiu has emerged as the dominant stored liquor category among Asia-Pacific investors, reflecting unique regional preferences and growing confidence in its long-term value.

According to the report, 50% of all stored liquor investments in Asia-Pacific were in Baijiu, driven by cultural preferences for Moutai, Kaoliang, and other traditional white spirits. The strong demand for Baijiu in this market contrasts with global trends, where whisky and wine traditionally lead liquor investments. Meanwhile, whisky accounted for 35% of stored liquor, while 15% was allocated to wine, including red wine and white wine. The report underscores that Baijiu's deep-rooted presence in Asian drinking culture has translated into strong investor confidence in its value retention and appreciation potential.

AIFIAN's data also provides insights into the demographic characteristics of its Asia-Pacific investors. 57.07% of liquor investors in the region were male, while 42.89% were female. Additionally, the most active investment segment fell within the 30-35 age range, followed closely by the 25-30 age group, indicating that younger investors are becoming increasingly engaged in alternative asset investments. This trend suggests a shift in how younger generations perceive liquor, not just as a consumable good but as a viable investment vehicle.

"The 2024 data from AIFIAN's Asia-Pacific report confirms Baijiu's stronghold in the region's liquor investment landscape," said Yen Chang, Director of Public Relations, Asia-Pacific at AIFIAN. "While whisky and wine remain popular investment choices, Baijiu's dominance underscores its significance as a cultural and financial asset, setting Asia-Pacific apart from other global markets."
