BEIJING, March 31, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- In a striking celebration of sartorial heritage, "Neo-Chinese Style" makes its debut, showcasing the intricate beauty and rich cultural tapestry of traditional Chinese attire. Broadcast around the globe via CCTV International (CCTV-4) and concurrently streamed on CCTV.com and China Media Group Mobile, the fashion and cultural media initiative aims to translate the storied narratives embedded in each garment—from the symbolic motifs to the vivid color palettes—into a language understood worldwide. The show transforms the human form into a dynamic canvas, using the body as the brush and garments as the ink, artfully illustrating the timeless elegance and profound cultural resonance of Chinese dress through a contemporary lens. "Neo-Chinese Style" Program Poster The program assembles a panel of four industry mavens and ten aficionados of Chinese culture, spanning a range of ages, professions, and backgrounds to highlight the contemporary vitality of Oriental aesthetics. Through a novel format that merges runway presentations with narrative storytelling, the program features traditional item pairings, dramatic re-enactments of scenes from classic movies and TV series, and curated costume exhibitions. This innovative format showcases the craftsmanship and global allure of Chinese attire, blending tradition with contemporary relevance. To inspire contestants, the program boasts an impressive arsenal of over 400 Chinese costumes and 200 heritage accessories, each sourced meticulously from across the country. Organized around three themes—Tracing Chinese Style, Movie and TV Classics, and Encountering the World—the production aims to push beyond conventional aesthetic limits, exploring a broad spectrum of sartorial expression. The approach allows participants to not only honor traditional designs but also reinterpret them in ways that resonate on a global stage. Each stitch and thread mirrors the vast landscape; while every pattern and adornment captures the essence of time. The clash of jewelry echoes historical narratives, while the flow of traditional robes reveals layers of cultural heritage. Using clothing as the brush and the body as the ink, the program explores the endless possibilities of Chinese style, showcasing the distinctive allure of traditional Chinese dress culture to the world. The "Neo-Chinese Style" program elegantly showcases the rich tapestry of Chinese apparel, bringing its grace and tradition to the global forefront.
NEW YORK, March 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Tuya Smart (NYSE: TUYA, HKEX: 2391), a global AI cloud platform service provider, is redefining the role of AI in the smart home ecosystem, turning cold technology into an emotionally intelligent companion. Imagine returning home after a long day, your mind weighed down by fatigue. Before you even express it, an AI companion gently approaches: "Hey, you seem a little down today. I've prepared a list of comforting films—shall we watch one together?" This thoughtful care is a result of the integration between Tuya and DeepSeek, which marks a shift in how technology interacts with human emotions. Devices such as cleaning robots, smart photo frames and others are no longer just a collection of cold, mechanical functions. Now, the smart home becomes an intuitive presence that quietly addresses the emotional needs of its residents and their pursuit of comfort, turning living spaces into true sanctuaries of warmth and connection. To break the monotony of daily routines and infuse homes with deeper emotional resonance, Tuya has embedded DeepSeek's cutting-edge AI model into its AIoT platform. Leveraging advanced natural language processing, context modeling, and sentiment analysis, Tuya collaborates with global developers to create a new wave of AI companion products. Tuya harnesses DeepSeek's AI capabilities to transform smart home devices into empathetic and emotionally responsive companions, offering psychological support and fostering a more human-centered intelligent living experience for users worldwide. Innovating Intelligent Companionship: A Journey Toward Emotional Awakening With the collaboration between Tuya and DeepSeek, smart devices enabled by Tuya will reach a new level of intelligence, enabling more natural, human-like communication with users. This advancement enhances interactions between users and AI companion products, overcoming past challenges of poor communication and misunderstandings between smart devices and users, and bringing significant changes to the emotional dynamics of home life. For example, in everyday family life, a companion robot patrolling the home may notice a resident wearing a scarf. By analyzing their appearance, body language, and speech, the robot can proactively initiate a conversation relevant to the moment, such as offering a compliment, sharing fashion tips, or engaging in small talk, allowing users to feel noticed and understood. When parents are away and their children need comfort, an AI-powered storytelling machine activates, drawing children in to listen to a story. By simulating the voices and emotional expressions of different characters, it creates an immersive, three-dimensional auditory experience. With an interactive Q&A section embedded in the story, children can fully engage with the narrative, easing their feelings of loneliness in their parents' absence. On quiet nights when users feel lonely at home, they can turn to their AI dolls for interaction. A simple touch on the doll's head prompts it to respond with various sounds and facial expressions. Users can also play games like tic-tac-toe and Gomoku (Five in a Row) with the dolls to relieve loneliness. When it's time for bed, the doll automatically adjusts its posture, curling into a shape perfect for hugging, offering warmth and companionship as users drift off to sleep. AI Companion Products: A Creative Storm in the Future What new hardware solutions designed to soothe human emotions will emerge in the future, driven by DeepSeek's powerful AI companion capabilities? To further inspire global developers, Tuya and DeepSeek are jointly exploring the potential of AI-driven companion products, helping developers expand their business boundaries and seize new market opportunities. Below are some innovative directions for AI companion products: Holographic Projection Companion: Unlike traditional virtual text-based companions that exist only online, holographic projection companions provide a more tangible and immersive interaction experience. When a user feels lonely, the companion can appear as a realistic holographic projection and engage in natural conversations. It can accompany users in virtual activities such as online concerts and digital art exhibitions. Additionally, it can transform into a personal coach, using holographic projection technology to guide users in fitness, yoga, and customized training plans, helping them relax both physically and mentally while adding a touch of fun to their routine. Pet Robot: Designed for those who love dogs but find daily pet care challenging, this AI-driven pet robot offers a new business avenue for developers. Resembling a real dog, it simulates authentic pet interactions and possesses exceptional emotional perception capabilities, providing users with timely and warm responses. When users are happy, it wags its tail, rubs against them, or rolls playfully; when they feel down, it quietly nestles beside them, emitting soft comforting sounds to ease their emotions. Furthermore, it supports multi-user interactions, allowing friends and family to join in the fun. Equipped with a camera, it can capture smiles and movements to generate photos or videos, making it a truly heartwarming presence in users' lives. Soul Resonance Crystal Jewelry: This compact AI jewelry is designed for users to wear anytime, anywhere, offering constant companionship. It detects emotional fluctuations and responds through subtle changes in light and temperature. When a user feels down, the crystal emits a calming blue light and gently warms, mimicking the touch of a soothing hand. Moreover, it can be linked with the crystal jewelry of close friends. When a friend misses the user, their crystal flashes a specific light, conveying emotions across distances in a silent yet profound way. AI Magic Mirror: Once confined to mythological tales, magic mirrors seemed to belong only to legendary figures like the Queen in Snow White. Now, with AI integration, this concept comes to life, allowing every user to own a personal magic mirror, bringing daily surprises. Users can customize their AI image within the mirror, enabling natural and fluid conversations. The AI listens to their thoughts, offers personalized suggestions on various topics such as work and emotions, and even provides lifestyle advice, including weather forecasts, outfit coordination, dietary recommendations, and fitness plans. It becomes an all-encompassing personal assistant, enriching everyday life with beauty and convenience. By integrating DeepSeek's advanced AI model, Tuya is transforming once-cold smart devices into emotionally intelligent companions, reshaping the market landscape and unlocking new opportunities. Looking ahead, Tuya will continue to focus on the evolving companion economy, collaborating with global developers to push the boundaries of AI companion products, drive innovation in companion services, and infuse the intelligent era with warmth and care.
BEIJING, March 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- A report from People's Daily As night fell, a powerful and melodious soprano voice echoed through Zhaoxing Dong village in Liping county, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, southwest China's Guizhou province. The village instantly came alive. Under a grand drum tower, various singing groups took turns to perform grand song of the Dong ethnic group, a form of a folk chorus inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list. "What was initially just a local performance in the village ended up attracting over 130 singing groups from surrounding villages. We even added a grand parade in traditional attire and a feast of Dong cuisine," said Lu Yanyu, an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage in Zhaoxing Dong village. "By day, we are farmers and shopkeepers; by night, we become performers. It's pure joy." As a province home to multiple ethnic groups, Guizhou has nurtured a rich and diverse cultural heritage. In recent years, its ethnic culture has repeatedly gained national and even international recognition. Villages like Xijiang Qianhu Miao village and Sanbao Dong village have become dream destinations for many travelers. Miao silver jewelry and Shui ethnic horsetail embroidery have made their way from the mountains to the global stage. Meanwhile, handicrafts such as Miao embroidery, batik, Yazhou pottery, and Miao clay whistles have become sought-after souvenirs among tourists and are now sold overseas. Guizhou is currently undertaking major cultural initiatives, with a strategic plan encompassing nine key areas, including high-quality cultural research, heritage preservation, and exhibition development. A total of 128 priority measures have been identified to accelerate the goal of building itself into a culturally strong province. Amidst the rolling mountains, moss-covered ancient walls stretch into the distance—this is Hailongtun, Guizhou's only UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. "The reflective markers on the walls are used to monitor any subsidence or structural shifts. If a stone falls, it is carefully numbered and restored to its original place, and even the moss that re-grows must remain authentic to the site's ecosystem," explained Ji Tao, director of the Hailongtun cultural heritage management bureau. From systematic restoration efforts to the successful transfer of 15,212 unearthed artifacts, Hailongtun has been revitalized with new life. Guizhou boasts an impressive cultural heritage: one UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, three entries on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, 1,655 recognized historical buildings, over 4,300 sites of intangible cultural heritage projects, and more than 700 recognized inheritors of intangible cultural heritage. To enhance protection and ensure continuity, Guizhou has launched a series of cultural heritage initiatives, recruited 121 nationally renowned experts to form an academic committee, and published a batch of academic works, accessible books, and literary masterpieces. Integrating culture with industry has been a driving force behind Guizhou's cultural and tourism growth. The province has leveraged 753 Long March historical relics, 757 traditional Chinese villages, and 312 ethnic minority villages to develop a series of landmark cultural tourism projects. This multi-faceted approach has accelerated the formation of a diverse and interconnected cultural and tourism ecosystem. In the first three quarters of 2024, the number of tourists visiting Guizhou and total tourism revenue increased by 11.0 percent and 14.8 percent year on year, respectively. Guizhou's cultural tourism boom has also sparked the emergence of new business models. In Rongjiang county, the integration of ethnic culture with sports events has created lasting appeal— the Village Super League of soccer and Village Basketball Association have gone from viral sensations to enduring cultural staples. In Guiyang, "street-side concerts" add vibrancy to everyday life. Traditional festivals sucn as Guzang Festival, Miao Sisters Festival highlight the distinct charm of ethnic cultures. By capitalizing on its unique cultural assets, Guizhou continues to deepen the integration of tourism with sports, agriculture, and wellness industries, expanding tourism offerings, extending industrial chains, and elevating product quality. At the same time, Guizhou has been actively implementing cultural welfare programs, enhancing public cultural services, and organizing various community cultural activities, so as to ensure that residents benefit from a stronger cultural presence in their daily lives.

Mark Lloyd, Head Mixologist The overhauled Wing Lei Bar is more than just a makeover, it represents a significant shift in how hotel bars engage with their guests. The bar team embraces the spirit of personality-driven mixology, juxtaposing the palatial setting with an approachable and friendly service style. Lloyd, known for his imaginative techniques and fresh perspective, is shaking up the traditional hotel bar narrative and introducing a new era where flair meets authenticity. Guests can now relish in the luxury of an upscale bar experience without the stuffiness that often accompanies such venues. Mark Lloyd, an acclaimed bartender and cocktail maverick, has taken the reins as Head Mixologist at Wing Lei Bar, bringing a one-of-a-kind experience to guests. A native of Scotland, Lloyd traveled and worked extensively throughout Asia for the past 15 years. Having founded multiple bar concepts across five continents, the industry veteran further cemented his credibility in global bartending knowledge, after tenures as operations director and bar consultant in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Shanghai, including his time at the renowned bar chain J. Boroski. Lloyd believes that bartenders are tour guides in the guest experience, whether it be a neighborhood watering hole or an opulent hotel bar. His approach to hospitality boasts personal authenticity and seeks to find common ground between each guest and the bar. He forgoes heavily scripted service monologues, often heard in hotel concepts, and instead, presents the essence of the bar through its grand interior, the charming personalities, and his patience to understand each customer's individual needs. A cocktail experience with Lloyd is a bespoke journey from flavors to service. Drawing on his industrial chemistry and distilling background, Lloyd's unique understanding of spirits is most evident in his well-balanced cocktails. Lloyd's scientific training is unmistakable in the precise finesse of his infusions, affording Wing Lei Bar the momentum to catapult it to the top of the global stage. Debuting on March 12, Lloyd's two-prong cocktail program is split between a redesigned signature menu that highlights 12 reimagined takes on four classic cocktail styles (sours, stirred, classics, and alternatini), all with hints of culinary sensibilities for which Wynn Palace is celebrated; and Lloyd's bespoke bar program, built on his signature 4-question personalized approach. Via a commitment to classic techniques that forgo modern gadgets, like rotovaps and centrifuges, the revamped bar menu sees homemade infusions and tinctures at the forefront of every sip. The menu features an enticing array of repurposed ingredients sourced from inter-hotel departments and dining establishments, presenting an unpredictable drinks roster. Embodying a philosophy of "limitless cocktails," Lloyd's creativity knows no bounds, and every gastronomic ingredient – from char siu off-cuts to avocado peels – is a potential star on the cocktail stage.
