Las Vegas, October 7–9, 2025 — The Taiwan Pavilion concluded a highly successful showcase at IMEX America 2025, led by the Taiwan Tourism Administration, the Taipei City Government’s Taipei MICE One-stop Service, SHANGRI-LA FAR EASTERN TAIPEI, Taiwanlook DMC, and major airlines including STARLUX, China Airlines, and EVA Air, Taiwan effectively demonstrated the full strength of its MICE industry, drawing significant attention from buyers across the Americas, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. Impactful Presentations Driving Real Business Outcomes During the exhibition, the Taiwan Pavilion organized five themed Group Appointments targeting travel agencies in the U.S. and Mexico, European hoteliers, global hotel groups (such as MGM and IHG), Latin American operators, and other priority regions. These sessions provided in-depth one-on-one business discussions, resulting in multiple potential collaborations. International corporations expressed strong interest in hosting meetings in Taiwan, while several overseas travel agencies initiated concrete negotiations on incentive travel programs, establishing important business contacts for follow-up cooperation. The Taipei City Department of Information and Tourism further hosted a “Happy Hour” networking event, fostering relaxed interactions and strengthening business relationships between international buyers and Taiwan’s industry representatives. Policy Advantages and Air Connectivity Highlight Taiwan’s Competitiveness Buyers responded enthusiastically to Taiwan’s incentive travel subsidy programs promoted by TTA, including group travel grants and Taiwan High Speed Rail discounts. The “Bleisure” subsidy, encouraging extended stays to explore Taiwan’s tourism resources, also attracted strong interest. Airline connectivity was a major highlight. EVA Air’s new Taipei–Dallas direct service launched in October, STARLUX’s partnership with Alaska Airlines for extended U.S. domestic connections, and China Airlines’ upcoming Taipei–Phoenix route in December all captured the attention of North American buyers, reinforcing Taiwan’s accessibility. Branding and Industry Integration Widely Praised The pavilion’s “TAIWAN – Waves of Wonder” design received notable recognition. Many international buyers inquired about the branding concept, praising its creative integration of ocean, river, and island imagery. The complete industry chain represented at the pavilion—ranging from STARLUX, China Airlines, and EVA Air’s transport services, to SHANGRI-LA FAR EASTERN TAIPEI’s premium accommodations, and Taiwanlook DMC’s event planning expertise—highlighted Taiwan’s comprehensive service capacity. Buyers gave high marks to Taiwan’s direct flight network, service quality, and the added value of combining MICE with hotel and tourism experiences. Strengthening Global Presence in the Post-Pandemic Era The Taiwan Tourism Administration noted that the outcomes of IMEX America 2025 exceeded expectations, boosting buyer confidence in Taiwan as a premier MICE and business travel destination. This success lays a solid foundation for market recovery and business expansion in the post-pandemic era, reaffirming Taiwan’s readiness to host large-scale international MICE events with world-class service quality. Commitment to Future Global Expansion Looking ahead, TTA will continue advancing international marketing strategies and policy support, inviting more global organizations and buyers to conduct site inspections in Taiwan. At the same time, Taiwan will deepen strategic cooperation with airlines, hotel groups, and professional marketing firms to explore emerging markets and further expand Taiwan’s influence in the global MICE and business tourism sectors.
