The city stands as a global capital of hydropower, where waters and mountains unite in harmony, blue and green hues intertwine, and humanity blends with the urban landscape.

Yichang, a major regional hub connecting the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River, is home to both the Gezhouba Dam — known as the first dam on the mighty Yangtze — and the Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydropower project. Together, they have enabled this city, covering only 0.2 percent of China's land area, to provide electricity to a vast portion of the country.

The sound that emanates from these dams is not merely the spin of turbines; it is the green heartbeat of the Yangtze, a powerful rhythm of clean, low-carbon energy and an ecological echo that reverberates with a commitment to protect the great river.

The Three Gorges of the Yangtze River form one of the major canyons in the world that can be fully explored by boat. Source: The Victorian Homeless Fund, LinkedIn

GoodWe, in partnership with Six Star Plus and The Victorian Homeless Fund (VHF), donate and install solar and battery storage for homes that provide safety, stability, and a genuine fresh start.

In December 2025, VHF celebrated the opening of a new home in the Latrobe Valley, designed to support a family of five who had experienced significant hardship due to family violence. The home was built by the teams at Sherridon Homes and Brilley Co, and now under the care of Women's Property Initiatives.

Why Solar and Storage Matter

A safe home matters, but so does the ability to afford living in it. For GoodWe, this project demonstrates how clean energy can have practical, tangible benefits. Solar generation, paired with the right battery storage, helps reduce running costs, increases day-to-day comfort, and adds resilience during high-demand periods.

This is also where Six Star Plus shines. For projects like this, the goal is not simply compliance or a tidy install, but a solution that genuinely improves a family's day-to-day life. They bring the experience, the care, and the attention to detail that ensure these systems do what they are supposed to do, quietly and consistently.

The Latrobe Valley system details

For the Latrobe Valley home, Six Star Plus delivered a robust system suited to a busy household, using quality components and a configuration designed for real-world demand. The system includes 10.56 kW of solar, delivered through 24 RISEN RSM108-9-440N panels, paired with a GoodWe GW9900-ET-20 9.9 kW inverter, plus a GM3000. In practical terms, that means strong daytime generation, an efficient conversion setup, and a great foundation for adding storage in a way that maximises self-consumption and value.

GoodWe ESA energy storage for future homes

Six Star Plus and GoodWe currently have five projects in the pipeline with VHF, with at least one home to be built in 2026 and the possibility of two more starting shortly thereafter.

Looking ahead, all new homes in the program will include GoodWe's all-in-one ESA Series energy storage solutions. This means families will not only generate clean electricity, but also store it for use when it matters most, including evenings, peak periods, and higher-cost times. The company's ESA Series has recently expanded with a new three-phase residential model.

Storage helps households get more value from their solar, reduces grid reliance, and supports comfort through better load management. It is also a strong step towards making these homes future-ready as energy pricing, electrification, and household needs continue to evolve.

A milestone installation with broader impact

VHF highlighted that this Latrobe Valley project marked an important milestone as their first regional build. When a regional build succeeds, it proves that collaboration can travel, and it reinforces that every Victorian family deserves the same chance at safety and stability, no matter their postcode.

VHF also acknowledged the generous funding support from Loy Yang B Power Station and Alinta Energy, as well as the Payton Foundation Ltd for providing the land on which the home was built. Mary Aldred, MP for Monash, officially opened the home and spoke about how collaboration can help reduce homelessness.

To find out more about The Victorian Homeless Fund and make a donation, please visit www.vichomelessfund.org.au

GOTHENBURG, Sweden, Feb. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CEO Dr Martin Edlund: "A year of global brand and technology exposure and grid-connected electricity production with commercial-scale powerplant"

Significant events October-December 2025

On 28 October, Minesto announced the outcome of the company's rights issue of up to 82,364,595 shares. 33,436,356 shares, corresponding to approximately 40.6 percent of the Rights Issue, had been subscribed for with the support of subscription rights. Additionally, applications for subscription of 575,828 shares, corresponding to approximately 0.7 percent of the Rights Issue, had been received for subscription of shares without the support of subscription rights. In aggregate, the subscriptions with the support of subscription rights and the applications for subscription without the support of subscription rights correspond to approximately 41.3 percent of the Rights Issue. Hence, guarantee commitments of 19,501,329 shares, corresponding to approximately 23.7 percent of the Rights Issue, will be utilized. The Rights Issue provides the company with proceeds of approximately SEK 99.0 million before deduction of costs related to the Rights Issue.

On 30 October, Git Sturesjö Adolfsson resigned as a member of the Company's Board. Deputy Board Member Andreas Gunnarsson assumed her position.

The Board of Directors resolved to allow Fenja Capital to set off its outstanding loan claims, including accrued interest, totalling approximately SEK 22.2 million as payment for part of the shares that Fenja Capital has been allocated and subscribed for in the Rights Issue.

On 8 October, Minesto invited investors and the public with an interest in technology and energy systems to a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the tidal energy kite Dragon 4 "Íðunn" as she was brought home for a break from production duty at the company's demonstration site in the North Atlantic where it produces electricity to the Faroe Islands grid. The event attracted around 150 guests.

In October, Minesto was part of a high-level Swedish delegation to South Korea aiming to explore new partnerships and strengthen bilateral collaboration in the green transition. The delegation was led by HRH Crown Princess of Sweden and supported by Swedish minister for Foreign Affairs and Swedish minister for Infrastructure and Housing. The delegation was part of Focus Asia - Sweden's strategy for trade and investment in the region. Extensive tidal and ocean current resources make South Korea a highly attractive market for Minesto.

In November, Minesto participated in high-level Swedish business delegation to Canada in connection with the royal couple's state visit. The delegation, led by the Swedish Minister for Energy and Business and Minister for Defence, aimed to strengthen Swedish-Canadian relations and promote innovation with focus on AI, defence & security and electrification. Significant ocean resources with tidal streams and political support for ocean energy make Canada a highly attractive market for Minesto.

Minesto was selected to be part of InnoEnergy's annual industry event The Business Booster, this year in Lisbon in October. InnoEnergy, initiated by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), is Europe's investment company at the forefront of clean energy transition and Minesto was invited as one of the industrial scale-ups driving Europe's energy transition.

Minesto announced that incentive programme LTI 2021 was completed, LTI 2025 will commence and that major shareholder, the CEO and other senior executives have increased their shareholdings.

The Company's Board of Directors dismissed a claim for damages directed against them from the former major shareholder BGA Invest AB as unfounded. The claim for damages is allegedly based on the Board of Directors' resolution to allot shares to BGA in the Company's rights issue carried out during autumn 2025.

After the end of the period

In January, Minesto was selected for in-depth investment advisory support by the European Investment Bank (EIB) under the PDA (Project Development Assistance) programme. The program offers extensive free of charge financial advisory support to a few carefully selected investment opportunities within the renewable energy sector in the EU. The Minesto investment case chosen for the programme is a 10MW Dragon Farm (tidal energy array) located at a new targeted site within EU waters. The EIB advisory support focus's on increasing the financial attractiveness and overall quality of the investment offer, aiming to raise 25 M EUR in capital.

Minesto was awarded 24,000 EUR grant funding from the Swedish Energy Agency (SEA) through the Global Innovation Accelerator (GIA) programme, aiming to accelerate the company's market development in Taiwan. As part of the programme, Minesto officially took part in the high-level Nordic-Taiwan Sustainable Energy Forum, held in Taipei in December.

Minesto initiated collaboration with expert ocean energy site developer Haf-Afl for the Icelandic market. Minesto continues to follow through with a market entry strategy based on collaboration with strong local site development and project investment partners. With the signing of a new partnership agreement (MOU) with ocean energy site developer Haf-Afl, the Icelandic market is added to Minesto's range of markets actively pursued.

The Group in summary

1 July-31 December 2025

Total operating income for the period amounted to SEK 14,843 thousand (19,486) and mainly included capitalised development work. The Faroe Islands Space Program has so far resulted in more than 500 million exposures. We also promoted our unique Dragon Technology at the World Exhibition in Japan, at high-level Swedish state visits to South-Korea and Canada. Showcasing our Dragon 4 unit in Göteborg created interest from to Philippine and Indonesian key stakeholders. This year's external communication is arguably the broadest brand and product exposure ever for a novel renewable energy technology. We are overwhelmed by the level of enthusiasm and number of commercial inquiries into our Dragons derived from this exposure. Invitations to tender, requests for feasibility assessment of new sites and engagement with new local site-development partners are at record levels. Our main task is now to turn these opportunities into business.

In order to manage the commercial roll-out, we have reshaped the Minesto team to deliver on this number one priority to reach solid commercial deals and broaden the range of infrastructure projects, both in our priority market Faroe Islands and in additional 16 follow-on geographic markets (still counting). This creates short term opportunities for sales of site development services and step in installation projects as well as outlining a medium/long term project pipeline. The now existing Dragon farm project pipeline strongly motivates the substantial global market and scaleup into Gigawatt deployment volumes.

During 2025, we have tested our megawatt power plant Dragon 12 extensively. The megawatt machine has provided valuable production and operational data, proved robustness and stability beyond commercial service intervals. We now choose to limit electricity production with the Dragon 12 due to reduced access to cost effective marine operational resources (our local installation vessel is undergoing service). In parallel, we are preparing together with our partners and the local utility Sev, for production into the new microgrid set-up at Vestmanna by upgrades onshore and at the seabed. We have formed a consortia to offer microgrids, with initial joint investments of 56 MSEK to install and demonstrate a complete microgrid with battery storage that is "market ready".

We have also advanced our understanding of "the value of tidal in the grid mix" by developing an in-house power systems analysis model and applying it on the Faroe Island energy system. Our initial conclusions from this work is very promising in favour of tidal energy from Minesto dragons:

We create an energy mix where tidal energy production from different geographic locations feeds base-load energy into the grid.

We deliver a cost effective 100-percent renewable energy system with minimum storage needs and build out of over capacity.

This work gives us a hands-on sales tool that provides in-depth understanding of how our Minesto Dragons can be implemented in an energy system to provide renewable base-load energy to deliver an affordable and feasible energy transition in the many global markets with a tidal energy resource.

The geopolitical market context is changing with more limited verbal support from leading politicians on sustainability. However, the energy transition is happening at a faster pace than ever in terms of megawatts installed and investments committed. No political hesitation will stop this transition, since it is driven by commercial logic and creation of clear customer value. The most significant shift in priority on energy policy is related to increased focus on security of supply. This is an additional strong argument for relying on tidal energy from our Dragons. Moving away from fossil imports from politically unstable countries into geographically distributed ocean renewable energy based on local operations is most helpful. Minesto Dragon farms that are distributed in-shore and hidden from view in the water column are among the strongest options available to deliver real security of supply.

We impatiently push forward to deliver Dragon-generated tidal energy to the world.

/Dr. Martin Edlund, CEO

Contact
Cecilia Sernhage, Chief Communications Officer
+46 735 23 71 58
ir@minesto.com

This information was brought to you by Cision http://news.cision.com

https://news.cision.com/minesto-ab/r/minesto-publishes-year-end-report-2025,c4313276

The following files are available for download:

https://mb.cision.com/Main/14621/4313276/3953612.pdf

Minesto Year-End Report 2025_

https://mb.cision.com/Public/14621/4313276/9319c1e30bf24b01.pdf

PR 260226 Minesto publishes Year-End Report 2025

SYDNEY, Feb. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- GoodWe Australia announced that its new Three-Phase ESA All-in-One energy storage system has received Clean Energy Council approval, making way for installations across the country from late March/early April. The Three-Phase ESA joins the Single-Phase ESA, extending GoodWe's All-in-One energy storage range for Australian homes.

GoodWe's New Three-Phase ESA Series Energy Storage System

Designed specifically for homes and small to medium businesses with three-phase power, the ESA integrates a solar inverter, high-voltage battery, and intelligent energy management system into a single unit. With inverter capacity from 5 kW to 29.9 kW and 5 kWh to 108 kWh of storage, the Three-Phase ESA offers substantial flexibility for a wide variety of energy needs.

Traditional battery systems often require separate components installed across multiple locations. The ESA's pre-wired, modular design combines everything into one enclosure, simplifying installation, reducing commissioning time, and lowering the risk of compatibility issues.

Built using lithium-iron-phosphate battery chemistry, the system prioritises safety, durability, and long-term performance. Multiple layers of protection and advanced arc-fault detection and fire suppression technology further enhance safety for households and businesses.

Energy independence within reach

The ESA is ideal for properties seeking to reduce electricity bills, increase energy independence, and maintain power during grid outages.

"We are pleased to add the Three-Phase ESA to our robust lineup of energy storage solutions, further solidifying GoodWe as one of Australia's leading battery manufacturers," said Dean Williamson, Country Manager for GoodWe Australia and New Zealand. "The expanded solar production and storage capacity for three-phase dwellings and buildings offers energy independence to those looking to drastically reduce or eliminate energy bills."

A key advantage of the ESA platform is its scalability. Storage capacity can be expanded over time by adding battery modules, allowing customers to start with a smaller system and increase capacity as needs grow. This is particularly useful for households planning future electrification, electric vehicle charging, or increased energy consumption.

The system is also designed to provide whole-home backup, automatically switching to stored energy almost instantly when the grid fails. This capability is increasingly valuable as extreme weather events and network constraints lead to more frequent outages in some regions.

In addition to backup protection, the ESA features intelligent energy management designed to optimise how energy is generated, stored, and used. The system can prioritise solar self-consumption, charge during cheaper off-peak periods, and reduce reliance on expensive peak electricity.

Expanded flexibility for more applications

The three-phase design makes the ESA especially suitable for larger homes, rural properties, workshops, and commercial premises that require higher power output than single-phase systems can deliver. It also supports both grid-connected and grid outage conditions, with the ability to run multiple units in parallel for larger installations.

High efficiency and strong solar input capability allow users to capture more energy during daylight hours and use it when needed most. This helps maximise the value of rooftop solar systems and reduces dependence on grid electricity.

CEC approval confirms that the system meets Australia's stringent safety and performance requirements, allowing customers to access applicable rebates and incentives where available.

The CEC-approved Three-Phase ESA All-in-One will be available through authorised installers nationwide, with stock expected to be available from mid-March via GoodWe distributors.

Amber integration

With beta testing in its final stages, homes looking to benefit from wholesale energy market trading with Amber will soon be able to capitalise on extended savings with the ESA series. More information will be available soon.

Main features of the Three-Phase ESA All-in-One

All-in-one design combining inverter, battery, and energy management system

Three-phase output suitable for larger homes and commercial sites

Available in Australia from 5 to 29.9 kW power and 5 to 108 kWh storage

Modular battery architecture for easy capacity expansion

Lithium iron phosphate battery chemistry for safety and longevity

Whole-home backup with ultra-fast switching during outages

Intelligent energy management for tariff optimisation and solar self-use

Supports both grid-connected and grid outage conditions

Parallel capability for larger systems

High solar input capability with support for significant DC oversizing

Advanced safety features, including arc-fault protection and fire suppression

Pre-wired structure for faster, simpler installation

For more information, please visit https://www.goodwe.com.au/esa-5-30kw

The Alliance signed Memoranda of Understanding with distribution companies (DISCOMs) in Delhi and Rajasthan, designating them as the first cohort of "Champion Utilities" under the Grids of the Future initiative and with the All India DISCOM Association (AIDA).

Reflecting on the launch, Woochong Um, CEO of the Global Energy Alliance, said:

"India's clean energy transition is entering a decisive new phase, one defined not by access alone, but by the ability of power systems to deliver reliability, flexibility, and scale. Through the India Grids of the Future Accelerator, we are working hand-in-hand with utilities to build the digital, financial, and institutional capacity required to integrate renewables and storage at scale. Together with ENTICE 3.0, this marks a decisive shift from pilots to platforms, and from ambition to execution at scale."

Speaking at the launch, Jayant Sinha, the President of Eversource Capital and Former Union Minister and Chair, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance said:

"As India advances towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, reliable, modern and future-ready power systems will be central to sustaining growth and energy security. The recent Union Budget reinforces the importance of strengthening infrastructure to enable the clean energy transition at scale. Initiatives like the India Grids of the Future Accelerator demonstrate how coordinated, delivery-focused partnerships can translate national priorities into on-ground outcomes."

The launch brought together senior leaders from government, utilities, and the clean energy ecosystem, including Dr. Rajiv J. Shah, President of The Rockefeller Foundation; Seema Paul, Program Director for India at Sequoia Climate Foundation, Jayant Sinha, President Eversource Capital, and SujithNair, CEO, FIDE.

Dr. Rajiv J. Shah, who formally announced the India Grids of the Future Accelerator at Mumbai Climate Week, said:

"Today, energy access is the biggest obstacle to human well-being—but it's also our biggest collective opportunity. India has become a global leader in delivering clean, affordable, abundant energy to the people of the world's most populous country. Now, the Grids of the Future Accelerator will build on that extraordinary progress, helping to modernize India's grid through a first-of-its-kind public, private, and philanthropic collaboration. Thanks to the ambitions of the Global Energy Alliance and so many other partners, the Accelerator will transform India's grid into a digitized, flexible system that can meet the energy demands of the 21st century and serve as a model for countries around the world."

Having helped drive near-universal electricity access, India now faces a new challenge: moving from connections to energy abundance. The Global Energy Alliance's Grids of the Future initiative is designed to meet this moment as a globally coordinated, locally delivered platform that brings together governments, utilities, financiers, innovators, and technical partners to modernize power systems across the Global South.

By 2030, the India Grids of the Future Accelerator will advance grid transformation through its D4 framework; driving digitalization (D1) of utilities through digital twins and advanced analytics, enabling smarter integration of distributed energy resources (D2), accelerating the democratization (D3) of electricity by empowering consumers to participate in the energy system, and advancing the development (D4) of a strong innovation ecosystem to scale future-ready solutions. Through this integrated approach, the initiative aims to support 15 or more utilities, positively impacting nearly 300 million people across India. The Accelerator will onboard an initial cohort of utilities for early implementation, convene government partners, technology providers, investors, and philanthropic funders into a delivery-focused coalition, and build toward a three-year, $100 million fundraising effort from 2026 to 2028 to unlock large-scale public and private investment.

The event also marked the launch of ENTICE 3.0, the latest edition of the Alliance's flagship Energy Transitions Innovation Challenge. This edition places a particular focus on energy storage and grid digitalization, including the demonstration of non-lithium storage solutions and innovations capable of rapidly digitizing large volumes of grid assets to support faster planning, operations, and renewable energy integration. By directly connecting innovators with utilities, policymakers, and capital providers, ENTICE 3.0 aims to move promising technologies from pilots to large-scale deployment.

The announcements at Mumbai Climate Week 2026 reinforce the Global Energy Alliance's long-term commitment to India, supporting national climate goals while advancing the country's vision for growth, jobs, and energy security through 2047.
